Just 10 Weeks Away

Where has the time gone?  It's hard to believe it is already March 1st . . . and we'll be leaving for Alaska in just 10 weeks.  What had become a personal pipe dream more than 10 YEARS ago, is looking like it will become a reality when I retire from working in just a few short months.

When Pam told me she too was interested in doing a road trip from the lower 48 up to Alaska, we waited for months to receive the confirmation from Great Alaskan Holidays that we had been accepted as a first time renter for their popular Springtime Adventure Package in a brand new 2025 Winnebago Solis campervan.  The timing would coincide with my official retirement date of May 2024 making this the perfect way to celebrate a career well lived.

I am starting the framework for this blog today, so I have plenty of time to share all of the logistical and planning details before we actually hit the road on May 11th. This is especially important as we know there will be limited internet connectivity once we head into the wild.
